Ha-Barannu is a multi-purpose non-profit and tax-exempt organization aimed to serve refugee and immigrant communities benefit from English as a Second Language (ESL) and Citizenship Preparation (CP) programs, prepare adult learners, both US citizens or non-citizens, earn the General Educational Development (GED) or high school equivalency diploma, coordinate gifted 11th and 12th grades high school students from the City of Philadelphia and its vicinity to take college-level courses commonly known as Dual Enrollment (DE),* and provide homework assistance and tutoring services to children in grades 1st through 12th from Philadelphia area. The phrase Ha-Barannu is derived from the Afaan Oromoo, or the native language of the Oromo people of the Horn of Africa, which means “Let’s Learn!”

PRE K-4 PECT PREP CLASS
The purpose of this prep class is to equip students with the necessary skills needed to successfully pass all three required Pre K-4 modules tests. It is a 7 Week class running Monday through Friday evenings (5:00-6:30 pm) and Saturday (9:00-10:30 am) both virtually and in-person.

Teacher candidates at the end of their K-12 special education preparation program typically take the Praxis 5355 Exam as part of their state licensing requirements. It is a 7 Week class running Monday through Friday evenings (5:00-6:30 pm) and Saturday (9:00-10:30 am) both virtually and in-person
Students in the Dual Enrollment program will take approved undergraduate courses from Lincoln University of Pennsylvania, offered at the School of Adults and Continuing Education (SACE) Campus, located at 3020 Market Street, Philadelphia PA 19104.
